Cotswold sheep have long lustrous fibers. It is great for felting, needle felting, spinning or other crafts. Because each individual lock keeps its curl after being washed, they are used in doll hair and Santa Claus beards. The long fibers are great for hand spinning and produce strong yarn. I use Cotwold fleece for needle felting.
Each sheep at Marble Meadows has their own name and personality. We take tremendous care of our sheep and their wool. During the winter they are fed the best hay and grain. During the summer we frequently move their pastures in order for our sheep to always have the best grass to eat. Several times each year, we scrutinize our pastures for plants that may get into the wool. These plants are removed so Marble Meadow’s sheep has less vegetable matter in their wool and cleaner fleeces.
